If you want authentic and affordable Indonesian food, Yuyu’s Resto is a no-brainer. The humble setup might not look flashy, but don’t judge it by its cover! The fish kebabs here are cooked to perfection, bursting with rich, local flavours that’ll have you coming back for seconds.

We found ourselves returning to Yuyu’s again and again, drawn by its delicious, budget-friendly meals and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place that truly captures the heart of Indonesian hospitality and flavour.

Mista Ceningan’s Beach Bar

Location: JI. Nusa Ceningan
Price: 60-200k IDR
Best for: Friendly service and a fun atmosphere
Favourite meal: Dumplings (40k IDR special on weekends)

Walk into Mista Ceningan and within seconds, you’ll feel like a regular. Sean, the Aussie owner, is the ultimate host. He greeted us with cold towels and fun banter that made the whole experience memorable. But it’s not just the vibe that wins here – the food holds its own.

The fish tacos were light and fresh, the lamb souvlaki hit home, and the dumplings were the real MVP. If you’re visiting on a weekend, don’t miss out on these little flavour bombs for a discounted price. What’s more, you can take a dip in the pool for free, and they’ll even provide you with a fresh towel.

The Klyf Club

Location: JI. Sarang Burung
Price: 70-150k IDR
Best for: Sunset views that steal the show
Favourite meal: Quinoa salad

The Klyf Club Bar on the Blue Lagoon on Nusa Ceningan

Perched above the stunning Blue Lagoon, The Klyf combines dramatic ocean views with delicious food and a chilled-out beach club vibe. It’s a bit pricier than some other spots, but worth it for the vistas and the quality food.

Everything we ordered was fresh, delicious and well-executed – I went for the quinoa salad, while Dylan opted for the veggie burger. We even went back again for the burgers, they were that good!

Sea Breeze Cafe is everything you want from a beachside spot. Think chilled-out vibes, genuinely good coffee, and smoothie bowls that not only look but taste incredible. It’s a great place to spend a lazy afternoon, with plenty of seating options, including nets suspended over the water.

But smoothie bowls and coffee aren’t all that Sea Breaze is famous for. Their delicious, yet nutritious, Poke bowls are packed full of yummy ingredients. Add an iced cappuccino into the mix, and you’ve got yourself a winning combo.

Favourite meal: Grilled fish with veggies

Blue Lagoon Resto on Nusa Ceningan

This little warung keeps it simple but gets it right. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a cheap but tasty meal without feeling like you’re compromising. They even have fans, which is a rare treasure on an island where most places leave you sweating through dinner.

I went for the nasi goreng, while Dylan had the grilled fish with potato and veggies. While the flavours didn’t top Yuyu’s, it was still a great meal for the price.

Dungki Bendega Resto

Location: JI. Secret Beach
Price: 55-100k IDR
Best for: Spicy Pad Thai and a family-friendly vibe
Favourite meal: Chicken samosas

Hidden amongst the trees on the western side of the island, Dungki Bendega Resto combines a cosy atmosphere with a warm and friendly vibe. The menu leans slightly pricier compared to other warungs, but the variety justifies it.

While the Pad Thai was a spicy favourite for us, the chicken samosas stole the show. This spot has a more intimate, home-cooked feel, making it a great choice for an early dinner after a day of exploring Secret Beach nearby.

Mi GOreng and Nasi Goreng at My Beach Warung and Bar

If you’re after a relaxed beach bar experience that’s slightly less busy than the nearby Sea Breaze Cafe, My Beach Warung has you covered. There’s a pool you can use for free, along with plenty of seating options to enjoy a cold Bintang.

We kept it simple with their mie goreng and nasi goreng, and the portions were generous enough to match the price. It’s a no-frills spot that delivers exactly what you want on a hot afternoon.

Three Island Bar

Location: West side, unnamed road
Price: 40-80k IDR
Best for: Great food with epic views
Favourite meal: Grilled chicken with orange and ginger sauce

It’s an adventure in itself to reach Three Island Bar, which is located on the far less populated west side of Nusa Ceningan. But it’s certainly worth the trip to enjoy the stunning views over the channel to Nusa Penida and enjoy the unique flavours.

The menu at Three Island Bar might be smaller, but everything on it is done really well. My grilled chicken with orange and ginger sauce was unexpectedly amazing, while Dylan’s mie goreng came with delicious satay skewers.

Twilight Point Huts view over Mahana Point, Nusa Ceningan

Twilight Huts had some of the best Google reviews, so we thought we’d give it a go. The cliffside views and laid-back vibe fully lived up to the hype, complemented by the warm and genuinely friendly staff.

While the food wasn’t something we’d rave about, it was simple, flavourful, and dependable. We enjoyed a juicy burger and a refreshing cold Bintang, all while soaking in the incredible scenery at the tables overlooking Mahana Point.

For the best experience, arrive just before sunset to witness an unforgettable display of nature’s beauty!

Suku Beach Club

Favourite meal: Prawn linguini

Suku Beach Club blends upscale dining with a cool, stylish beach club vibe. It’s on the pricier side of things, especially if you want to hire their daybeds (minimum spend applies), but the food is worth the splurge.

The prawn linguini and lamb tagliatelli we ordered were nothing short of perfection, though the portions felt a little on the small side. That said, if you’re looking for a treat-yourself spot, Suku Beach Club is a great pick.
